About the Brand: We chose the K-brand Pleatsmama because its female owned, sustainable and fashion focused. Founded in 2017, they use local recycled plastic bottles and ocean rescued fishing nets to make their proprietary yarn and in fashionable zero waste handbag styles. “We seek fashion that can be fashionable, practical, and sustainable at the same time.” Bags are labeled “Jeju”, “Seoul” and “Ocean plastic” indicating the regions where the bottles and nets were collected in collaboration with the local government.
